Week of September 22-26
Warm-up: Paper Bag Transformation Presentations
Big Idea: Aquatic Biome
Essential Questions: 1.) What is an aquatic biome? 2.) What are the differences between marine, fresh water and estuaries biomes?
What we started: Students got into groups to research information on a specific aquatic biome: marine, fresh water or estuaries. Then, they documented their discoveries onto a large piece of paper. Next week students will present the information they found to the rest of the class.

Reminders:
- This year we are starting research projects in the Fall Semester, so I am quickly exposing students to each biome and a current problem (pollution, endangered animals) in that biome. In the Spring we will really dive in deep with each biome.
- Remember to sign ALPHA binders.
- Please help your little one to remember to bring their binder to class. I completely understand that they are still little and they are learning to develop this new responsibility. This will be very important when your kiddo starts their independent research. So, I'd like to try and develop this habit now, instead of later. Your help in this area is greatly appreciated! Thanks for your support!
Beginning of year Research Projects:
Holy, Moly...Macaroni! I absolutely loved them!!!! I learned sooooo many new and cool information! Every night I went home and shared with my family all the new facts I had learned that day! So cool! I LOVED how your kiddos transformed their bags! WOW!!! They are so creative! But, I think my favorite part was watching them stand up and present their animals. They were so proud of what they learned and created!
Thank you for your time and support! I'll up load pictures soon!!!!
