This week students had to think like archaeologists.
- We used the Depth and Complexity icons to help us better understand the importance of this field of science. For example: How do archaeologists identify and use PATTERNS to help them better understand people of long ago?
- We went to an "excavation site" and dug up "artifacts" from around the world. Students had to work together to piece together these "artifacts" and then classify them into 3 groups.
- Students made connections based on the artifacts to identify and justify their locations around the world.
- Students investigated and drew conclusions on how ancient civilizations played an important in history.
- Students were expected to discuss and explain the earliest types of technology.
